I camped for a month in Venezuela. In the jungle, m up a mountain, washing in rivers, drying clothes on trees, crickets in our tent, hanging our boots upside down every night to make sure nothing crawled in them, sharing a tent with four people, wearing the same pairs of underwear, same three t shirts, same two pairs of trousers, being bitten by fire ants, my friend was stung by a scorpion... that was real camping.
